Kobato Final Chapter
I never got around to posting my thoughts on the end of Kobato. I read the chapter a few days ago so I'm just going by what I remember.
It was so cute.
I was worried when I heard Kobato had been reincarnated 16 years later since I don't normally like age gaps to be that big but when reading the chapter I found it didn't bother me too much (I think because Fujimoto remembered her). I still would have liked it better if Kobato hadn't died. Even though she ended up with Fujimoto anyway I liked the pairing better when they only had an age difference of a few years.
Baby and young Kobato was so cute. It's too bad that she wasn't born to Sayaka and Okiura though. They would have made good parents for her. It's a shame that they and everyone else (minus Fujimoto) doesn't remember her.
Ginsei was adorable.
And I've said it before but I think Kobato would have worked better if it had been in a normal manga magazine. I think that CLAMP would have been able to do so much more with the story.
With Kobato now over I'm looking forward to what CLAMP is going to do next. I can't see them being happy with only working on Gate 7 so I imagine it won't be long before we get a new series or a continuation of an old one. Either one is fine with me.
