Oshitari sprawled on the grass with his back against a tree, idly flipping through Pride and Prejudice for what was surely the thirtieth time. He knew the story well enough that he didn't have to pay much attention, and glanced over the tops of the pages to observe his fellow students from time to time. His comfortable resting spot on the lawn, book carefully positioned to conceal any smirk that may appear on his face, afforded him a perfect eye-level view of the legs of every passing girl.

Reims Academy certainly had nice uniforms, but really, did the skirts have to be quite so long?

He was about to return his focus--some of it, at least--to Regency-era England when a particularly shapely pair of calves strolled past. Hmm, who was that?

Luckily for him, Marisa's skirt was as short as the Academy let her get away with. She never did like long skirts, not when she knew she was hot. Even luckier for Oshitari, Marisa happened to pause at that moment to look through her bag at the right angle to give him bit of thigh without showing all the goods.

When the girl paused, all thoughts of Elizabeth Bennet's fine eyes vanished from Oshitari's mind. His gaze traveled up her body, taking in her slim form and the cloud of blonde hair.

Something about her was vaguely familiar, and he frowned. Had they met? There was something about that pretty face...

Once she'd checked to make sure her phone was in her bag and not left in her room, she caught sight of the boy looking at her. She remembered who he was, but not his name.

...crap.

Anyways, she tilted her head a bit and raised an eyebrow. "Guys usually don't frown when they look at me."

"I have good reason to frown," Oshitari said. "Though I'm staring at the most beautiful girl in this school, I can't remember her name. Surely such negligence reflects badly on a gentleman."

He closed his book and rose smoothly to his feet, a small smirk spreading over his lips. "But perhaps I can correct my error now, by asking the lovely lady what she prefers to be called?"

An amused little grin sat on Marisa's lips as she watched him stand, tilting her head back to look up at him. He was so much taller than her.

"Oh, that's a tough one, ze. I go by a lot of names on this campus. But for you..." She tapped her chin in mock thought. "You can call me Marisa."

Aha! There it was. He remembered now, and gave her a perfunctory bow, book held behind his back.

"Miss Kirisame. I remembered you from the network. What a pleasure to meet you in person."

"Glad I left an impression, ze. It has been a long summer." Marisa pushed the brim of her hat up a bit. "You're the tennis guy, right?"

The tennis guy? Clearly he hadn't made much of an impression.

Clearly he would have to correct that.

He laughed. "I suppose you could call me that. Though I generally go by Oshitari. Yuushi Oshitari."

It had been a long summer and Marisa's thoughts had been more on a certain bookworm than the new transfer student that played tennis.

"I like that better than 'the tennis guy'," she said with a chuckle. "Rolls off the tongue better."

"I would imagine so," he agreed. "But you look distracted, Miss Kirisame. Am I keeping you from something?"

Even so, Oshitari couldn't help being charmed by that laugh. Marisa was certainly a pretty girl.

"Just call me Marisa. I get called 'Miss Kirisame' enough by the teachers." She then shook her head. "And you're not keeping me from anything, ze. Just doing the rounds to check up on friends... reassert my social position... I'm sure you know how that goes."

"Of course," Oshitari murmured. His voice was naturally low and husky, like the purr of a big cat, but he pitched it just a bit deeper now. "Marisa. That social position must be at the top, hmm? You did describe yourself as...what was it, one of the movers and shakers on campus."

"Most definitely. I can make things happen on this campus." A smirk. "For those that make it worth my while."

Despite himself, Oshitari raised an eyebrow. "Make things happen, hm? Dare I ask what sort?"

"You name it, I can probably make it happen," Marisa replied with a wink. "I'm the Digital Witch, ze."
