This is my favorite fic at the moment, so it sucks that it only comes out every once in a while.
Since everyone thinks he is one when they see him, how does Sasuke look like a shadow girl? I don't know what one looks like to begin with, so I have nothing to go off of...are there shadow guys?
I know it's late, sorry, but congrats on graduating, by the way.
There are Shadow-guys, but they're all Zombies, and banished from cities on account of being half-dead and ugly and stuff. People automatically assume Sasuke's a girl more because he's not a hideous lump of flesh rather than because he's such a prettyboy, though the prettyboy-ness helps him get along in society, what with being a freak of nature.
Yeah, he's like a shadowgirl, just male and without any of the powers accept the ability to sense emotions. And he hates shadowgirls because he has issues. That's all there really is to it.
Shadowgirls, depending on the strength of their abilities, can read minds, screw up people's thoughts temporarily, and animate dead bodies. There might be more, but I can't remember off the top of my head, and my copy of Pollen is still packed up.
This is Naruto's righteous retribution for being a skank. He has to pay for having both Sasuke and Sakura by, you know, having Sasuke and Sakura. It all evens out in the end. *sage nod*
She's not going to get as cool as post-timeskip Sakura, sadly. I actually never respected either version of Sakura as much as I did after starting this thing, where writing her like a normal woman made me recognize that even when she was twelve she was pretty decently trained. (I've always kind of wondered how she managed to move that gigantic log and hang it from a wire in the chuunin exam. That thing was, like, twice her size.)
Dude, you make me so _happy_. I "*squeed*" and laughed and glared and...read. *lol* Well, I did all that while reading...which is good. You're just kind of awesome that way. *^.^* I was so uber excited to see that you had updated, I had to take a minute and calm down before reading. *lol* I read this on the day I get Chapter 307 and Askerian's picture update...life is good. *^.^*
So...the chapter. I must say, it is rather awesome. Sakura and Sasuke _are_ a bit insane-y, but we love them. I'm a huge Team Kakashi [including Kakashi, obviously] fan, so I'm all about the togetherness and development of the team and characters. This chapter just has me saying "YES! Sakura is going to be awesome too!", mostly because I really like Sakura, always have...I don't know why. *lol* I guess I relate to her...you know, minus the whole "obsessed with my crush who I barely know" thing she had going for a while. *>.<*
"...even when she was twelve she was pretty decently trained." <- So _true_. Dude

*grin* Thank you. And thanks for the congratulations!
Sakura actually doesn't change much . . . neither Naruto or Sasuke are really changed by having the Vurt in their blood in either the Vurt game or in real life, and she won't either, since they're still only a little past the hospital scene. It's actually more a risk than anything--now Orochimaru can track all three of them regardless of whether they're in a game or in reality. Sakura hadn't thought of that, and Naruto won't for a while; Sasuke has already, but he's not so cruel that he's going to say it.
(Also, my name's actually "rayemars"--reimars is just a variation to serve as title for the writing journal. *sheepish grin*)

Sakura's gonna kick butt in this isn't she. *grins* That's the way she should be anyways, or at least that's what I think. Great chapter.
