Rainspotting

Rainy weather has come to Seattle. I think I like a good old down pour over Seattle's misty bullshit any day, but what are you going to do?

So in my dream last night there was some real amazing in it. Your mind can create such gorgeous vistas. Allow me to elaborate.
I don't know how it started, but I end up in a grocery store, wondering around the aisles, I think I was looking for a loaf of bread. I somehow ended up in the appliance section, and I found one of those $400 Zojirushi rice cookers on sale for $99 which I purchased IMMEDIATELY, my exact response if that were to happen in real life. And then somehow I ended up in a meadow looking at the night sky. I could make out some stars, I thought I could kinda make out the Milky Way, but there was too much light pollution, so I tried to cover up the houses with my hands as though that would work. I kept walking backwards to try and get a good view, and then I just sat down, and all of a sudden Jupiter (though it was really Saturn, wtf, brain) with huge and visible. And when I say huge, and I mean like, bigger-than-the-moon, if-it-were-really-that-close-the-results-would-be-cataclysmic super close. And I was like "wow, I can see Jupiter, and it's huge!" and as I sat back and watched it, this whole like, AMAZING interstellar show began. Mars came up from behind Jupiter/Saturn, and these huge asteroids swung around, it was like all these planets and things were completing their orbits in mere seconds, and they all looked gigantic from Earth. It was just stunning. But this being a dream, I ended up wandering off somewhere. At some point I like, realized I wasn't wearing any shoes, so then I went walking all around the meadow that had now become some sort of park with a pool looking for wherever I left my shoes. And all the people around me where your basic anarchist type (e.g. dreds, brown clothing, lack of hygiene). When I went to look over at another area, there were a bunch of thuggish black people hanging out.
That's when the dream transitioned to the dinner that I've already discussed elsewhere and don't feel like rehashing.

Do you remember when Colbert said he would go do a day laborer's job for a day? It came up on a episode where he was interviewing this guy about human rights issues for day laborers. I ask because he absolutely fucking did it. He talks about it and other things on Good Morning, America, which you MUST see.
