To the nurse practitioner who spent a solid 25 minutes looking at my medical history before even looking at the 2nd degree burns on my hand from lab? That sucked. Just so you know. I came in saying it hurt like a whore and asked for something to kill the pain, and you flip through my medical history like you're checking to make sure it's not cancer. You even quizzed me on my family's medical history and my prescription history, etc.
Lady, last time I got a burn in a lab they whipped out some burn spray and put it on my hand and POOF! No more pain. It took all of five seconds. You, in your infinite helpfulness, put antiseptic on it and wrapped it in a bandage. Awesome.
But you did agree with me about the pap smear rule (3 years of sexual activity or at age 21, whichever comes first) which made me feel sane after every other girl I know (all of whom are either virgins or generally not active) insisted that I should be going to one like they do.
