earlier today in the midst of an argument i told my mother, "i didn't tell you to shut up." she wasn't wearing her hearing aids and thought i just said "shut up" and hit me across the face as hard as she could. I never lost my cool or called her names, but she proceeded to tell me "who are you gonna call? you dont have any friends because no one likes you" and also mimic me in a feminine voice with a limp wrist because i'm gay.
i guess only one of us grew up.
