“Passion has little to do with euphoria and everything to do with patience. It is not about feeling good. It is about endurance. Like patience, passion comes from the same Latin root: pati. It does not mean to flow with exuberance. It means to suffer.” --House of Leaves, pg. 527.

Can you tell I haven't been doing work lately? Re-read HoL over the past two days, as well as a few Anne Bishop novels, mostly while in bed with Dum-Dum lollipops and Vanilla Coke. Yes, I splurged on coke this week--living without coffee isn't fun, and I need to get my caffeine somehow.

Not motivated to do much work. Um. Could probably end up spamming LJ for hours if I had consistent access. Which, by the way, should be soon. We'll see.

Erk.
