In the CC, doped up on pain medication, listening to...James Brown? It's actually Virgin Radio's Classic Soul and Disco/Groove internet radio. No idea why--can I blame it on the pain meds?
Play that funky music.
Almost done with Core essay--should be in a position to finish it up tomorrow. Today has been vaguely odd. Went to bed around 6 this morning, when the drugs had finally kicked in enough to convince me I could lay down without screaming, woke up at 10 to realize they'd worn off already. Stayed up distracting myself from the ache by playing solitaire and talking out loud to myself, and went back to bed around 1. Woke up at 5. Then took a very hot shower and worked on my essay a bit, played around a bit, ate dinner. (Everyone here is stunned and a little bit impressed with the concept of stromboli. It was hilarious and well worth the nice crescent-moon burn I have on my arm.)
Came here, and turned on the disco. Boogie-oogie-oogie.
ETA: Oh geez. This is the best radio station ever. The LaBelle 'Lady Marmalade', after 'Three Times a Lady,' 'Purple Haze,' and 'Superstition.' No idea why I'm in such a mood for this, but I'm totally grooving out in the lab.
