Since the incident of two days past, Regulus' presence had been barely noted for more than a moment in any particular location. His movements were flighty and quick, almost as if he feared confrontation for some as-yet indeterminate crime. However, for now he had come to rest against a corridor wall on the second floor of the castle. The edges of his partially open robe were just visible from the corner, protruding from behind the lone suit of armour positioned with a pole arm held at the ready.
Black's eyes were tightly compressed, the lids slightly darkened due to an evident lack of sleep. His normally wild but characteristic mane of stark black hair seemed both shapeless and lifeless at the same time, its usual slight sheen reduced to a dirty matte.
Shoulders slumped; he let out a long-held sigh, disturbing a slight layer of dust upon the feet of the steel suit. Painstakingly, he stretched out first one leg, then the other, firmly placing his back against the smooth stone behind. If all went well, it would be a rather solitary but calm few minutes in which he could catch his breath and exist solely in his own mind, not concerned with the impressions of others.
