Regulus was the second son in a society where primogeniture ruled. He was a homely, thin, sickly youth with very little to trade on other than his intelligence. He was nothing like his older brother. Regulus hated Sirius as much as he loved him. He hated Sirius for taking all of the family glory, for leaving Regulus to sulk in the shadow of his brother’s accomplishments. Regulus was nothing to his family. He was just the leftover.
But staring at the freshly scorched tapestry, Regulus doesn’t know what to think. Who is he now? Now that Sirius no longer counts...
