Rael is a breeder, and therefore doesn't take much stock in training his pokemon. He's also a bit squeamish, admittedly, and even now, the sight of animals beating each other up for whatever reason tugs at his heartstrings in the worst of ways. Therefore, his pokemon gain about a level or two each week, if at all, though he does make sure to take each of them out and spend time with them equally. He trains for the sake of helping them grow, especially some of them seem so happy in the aftermath, but he avoids it if he can help it.

Riça is small, shy, and easily startled. There really isn't any other way to describe her. She has a hard time standing up in the face of anything larger than her (and even some things smaller than her, even) which is problematic, considering she's the size of an open palm and has the guts that unfortunately matches her small stature. When startled, her first reaction is dive down the front of the nearest person's shirt, regardless of who they may be. In social situations, she seems to think that swooning and playing dead is an acceptable way of solving problems. However, she's very sensitive to the emotions of others, and will timidly attempt to clean you fussily if she can muster up the courage.

A diligent and faithful pokemon, Ilion rarely does another without deliberation. He is sort of a physical embodiment of the ideal 'look before you leap', manifesting in his tendency to make incessant worried noises in new and strange situations until Rael takes the hint. When faced with something new and yet unexplored, he tends to hold back and analyze before engaging, ensuring that he never bites off more than he can chew. This makes him woefully passive and a class A worrywart.

Despite being a small bird, Gretin isn't the sort to shy away from anything. If there was one word you can use to encompass Gretin's personality, it's 'princely'. While he can be rambunctious and boisterous, he is fiercely loyal to those he loves, and can always be counted on to put responsibility before play. Rael has taken to letting him chauffeur Riça around, and he's taken to his role fairly seriously. He is a very thoughtful and kind pokemon, who likes positivity. If you smile or laugh in his vicinity, you can count on him trilling along in delight.

Lexi is a small and affectionate pokemon. Named after Rael's partner, he only viscerally resembles his namesake (his affection towards Rael notwithstanding). He enjoys physical affection, spending lazy afternoons curled up in a corner and chasing after fast-moving objects, something that gives Rael no end of grief whenever they near sport stadiums. However, he is also a very kind creature, who takes care of his own gracefully. He doesn't like to play favourites, and in the company of many people, will cycle through laps evenly to ensure that everyone receives his love. For a small animal, he has a very big heart.

Estel, in one word, is standoffish. She's not the most sociable, and prefers the lack of company to any at all. In this, she is a very independent pokemon, and values her freedom above all else-- anyone who encroaches upon her perceived sense of independence be damned. When crossed, she is quick to impart warning in the form of baring her fangs, and if the warning is not heeded, she doesn't waste time in striking. Her temper is the fierce sort that comes as quickly as it goes, much like the element she affiliates with. On the other hand, so long as her need for space is met, she is both agreeable and cheerful.

A small cat with something like a dependency problem. If Chau can keep your attention, she will keep it-- and if she doesn't have it, she will beg for it until she has it again. In a way, more than anything else, she fears being alone, and will latch onto anyone possible in order to prevent it from becoming a reality. And she's damn good at keeping your attention-- Chau's the sort of precocious pokemon who is cute and knows that she's cute, and is more than willing to exploit it to get the results she wants. However, her desperate bid for attention is often tires her out more than she can admit. Unfortunately, unless she's all tuckered out to near exhaustion, she will not sleep-- because in sleep, she's never sure if you're still there with her, and this scares her more than anything else.

A pokemon who knows how to walk to the beat of his own drum. Airo may seem slow and terribly unintelligent, but he really is anything but that. It's just that he knows better than to rush things, knowing that patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait. Very little ruffles his metaphorical feathers, and he takes everything in patient stride (whether he's getting flipped onto his back incessant or otherwise). It has yet to be seen if he even possesses a temper. On an unrelated note, he likes the taste of pineapples.

You really wouldn't have realized just how sly a little sprig of cherry can be until you've met Sia. She's fast, she's playful, and she is very, very good at pulling surprises out of thin air. Her favourite game is to pretend to be that out-of-season cherry sprig that everyone admires until you get a face-full of leaves and realize otherwise. Not the malicious sort, but she really does get her fun from seeing the surprise of others. At the end of the day, she is a cheerful bundle of energy and the moodmaker of Rael's party.
