i just bought a car. so. knock that off on my list of things to be to truly be an adult. i think i got a few extra wrinkles this week.
i learned too many new terms. my brain hurts. But I got a 2012 yaris sedan, silver, previously used as a rental car. i was soooo comfortable in crimefighter, this is just a really taxing thing on my emotions. crimefiiightereerrrer. you were periwinkle. kind of considering getting this new one painted cheaply somewhere down the line. i donno. cars, meh.
details, for myself, later in life, looking back on this:
advice-i did too much research and impeded my work flow, so dont do that down the line. lol jk knowledge is power
yesterday I went in. looked at a bunch of cars. i really liked the 2 door with the hatchback, but the only one they had had over 100k miles on it so it was a no-go. they had a sedan in the same model, less milage, just under 40k. drove the car, found it pretty comparable to my prius in size and mobility. got most of the paperwork written up. was talking about the final details. asked about the warranty. got confused about the warranty, which i had overlooked in my research and was fairly unknowledgeable about. they also only offered 100$ for my pruis, which had just gotten serviced and was perfect except for the hybrid battery. so I ended up walking out, seemingly leaving all of the sales associates in shock.
they called me back this morning, and i asked for more for my trade in. the appraised my car and offered me 500$, which i gladly took. it at least pretty much pays for the repairs i recently did on it, and is hassle free with the insurance and all. so i ended up with a new car and a hardcore warranty for ~16k, 10k down. owch.
pretty proud of myself, though. im going to pat myself really hard on the back for this one.
