[Vivi looks back over her shoulder at New Bark Town. She isn't completely satisfied with the explanation she's been given, about going on a journey. The uncomfortable feeling that settled in her stomach when faced with a woman who claimed to be her mother, but who she knew could not be, wouldn't go away. She knew, though, that she wasn't going

Or well, much about this world either. She seems really nice too, if how she's treating the Sandshrew is anything to go by.]
Best to keep an eye out for wild Pokémon! [Especially while he can't come running to save her--- I mean.] Though you can catch them if you do it right. You get to make more friends that way.
[Yes, he does think of Pokémon as friends, and really, only Wailmer is the only one of his that tends to stay in it's Pokéball, it kind of has to though.]

[Her brow furrows.] Is it all right to catch them? I'm not sure I like the idea of capturing wild animals.

[He chews on his lip.] Well some people uh... breed them or something? Though some Pokémon don't seem to mind it. I think it depends on how well you treat them.
[He smiles at her, looking a little sheepish.] Which you seem to be doing really well, so. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

They don't mind it? Well, I'd certainly treat them well, but ... I'm not sure that I have the right to take their freedom away from them.
[She smiles.] I'm glad you think so. I'm only just starting out, though, so I still have a lot to learn.

Though uh, some obviously mind, but they'll put up a proper fight. If they don't want it, they can force the balls open, I think. They did in the game anyway.
[He flashes a wider smile.] Yeah, I've only been here a little while too, but still.

In the game? [She's not sure she understands this.]
Really? It's good to meet someone else new. Did you get a Sandshrew, too?

Though uh, I guess you're from a world that doesn't know... [He pauses, trying to think of how to word this.] Well, the Pokemon... the creatures like that Sandshrew, in some worlds they're from a video game. You play in on this... device thing. Where you're supposed to catch all the Pokemon to become a Pokemon master.
[He looks confused though.] Though this area's a bit different and some of the Pokemon are different...
[He does look happy though at the mention of his Pokemon though.] You too! Though no, I got a Wailmer. Wanna see?

Yes, I'd love to see your Pokemon.

He does grin at her answer, however, and immediately lets Wailmer out for her to see - who starts flapping and rolling around to enjoy the quick stretch] This is Liberty!
[And he looks so happy, especially as he starts playing with the Pokemon too.]

[She practically beams as she sees the whale Pokemon grinning at her, taking up the entire viewscreen.] He's magnificent!

[Wailmer is pretty cute, especially as America reaches out to pet her] She's pretty awesome, huh? She doesn't like the cold that much though, I think it's something to do with needing water - I'm not sure...

She, I'm sorry. It isn't easy to tell from here. Hmm, it could be about needing water. I'm not sure what climate whales prefer, but it does seem a little cold for her.

[He just laughs at that.] It's alright! I made the same mistake until she knocked me over in protest! [He actually looks amused about this though.] Yeah, she seems to hate being out when she's not in water too, so...

[He trails off, then lets Liberty return, looking at the ball worriedly.]
