Aishiteiru, Goshujinsama - Character Analysis - The Master

It has been brought to my attention that the character of the Master is not believable--that he is 2-dimensional and fake.

I've been thinking about this a lot, and here is what I have come to realize.

I have always known that there is a specific reason, or reasons, why I have written this story the way I have. Some of its patterns connect very deeply, very symbolically to the way my reality has been changing in recent months/years. Saying this, I knew there to be a reason for why I write the Master the way he is.

Meditating on it more, I have come to realize: If a Monster were placed in front of you, would you see Him for who He truly is? Would you see the Being beyond the Form?

You always hear of these terrible people doing terrible things. Or rather--you hear about these people doing terrible things. A terrorist who bombs a crowded street--do you see this person as one having a family--a son, a daughter, a wife, a mother and father--as loving and being loved, as having a job and co-workers and friends who they laugh with?

No. You see only the Monster. They seem so terrible to you, you don't think to look beyond the surface.

You see only the Monster.

The Master.
