It has been a month since my last blog, so here are the latest happenings in my life....
I've been working full-time at my regular job. I applied for newer position within the company. Waiting to hear more information from it.
After more than a month of no shows, Impact Pro Wrestling had a show in Algona, Iowa @ The IPW Vault on May 10, 2008. Here is what happened:

IPW Vault in Algona, Iowa!
Ring Announcer: Chuck Shockley
Referee: Senior IPW Referee Billy J.
Shawn Roman w/ T. S. Aggressor came out and cut a promo. Johny Fitness came out and brought out enforcement of Wicked Lester Brody and then brought out his hot woman,Jasinda. Tonight's Main Event: Shawn Roman vs. Johny Fitness in a Loser Leaves IPW Vault for a Year!
1) Havyk defeated Marshall Scott with a spear for the win
2) Flav defeated "Torturous" Tony Sly with a stunner.
3) 8-Man Hardcore Scramble for the 1 Contender for the IPW Extreme Title. Participants included: Matty Starr, Justin Decent, The Big Picture, Thrillcat, Anthony Draven, Big Country, Buck Albright and Project Matthew. The match came down to Matty Starr and Project Matthew in the end. Project Matthew picked up the win, due to being the freshest guy out there and is now the 1 Contender for the IPW Extreme Title.
Chuck Shockley announced that Flav was banned from ringside.
4) IPW Heavyweight Championship: IPW Champion A.J. Smooth versus Montoya X. This title match saw the two opponents beating each other in and out of the ring. Smooth was busted open on the head when he got rammed into the garage door of the building. Smooth also had his thong ripped off of him by Montoya X. The end came down when Montoya X hit a frog splash. Flav's cane was somehow tossed into the ring. X picked up the cane and was about to use it on Smooth which would have DQ'ed him. X instead tossed the cane away and rolled Smooth up for the 1..2..3....NEW IPW HEAYVWEIGHT CHAMPION MONTOYA X! Wrestlers gathered in the ring and cheered on the new champion!
15-minute Intermission
5) IPW Tag Team Championship: 2nd Coming (Chance Cordova and Vin Cross) vs. Ian Wellington/James Jeffries. A great tag team match. The match ended when Vin Cross and Ian Wellington fought outside while Cordova and Jeffries fought inside. Jeffries picked up the win and we have NEW IPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Ian Wellington and James Jeffries
6) Loser Leaves IPW Vault for 1 Year: Johny Fitness vs. Shawn Roman. Great main event that had T.S. Aggressor and Fitness' woman at ringside. I, Referee Billy J., got splashed accidentally in the corner. When I got back up, Johny Fitness missed a top rope cross body and then Shawn Roman used his finishing move to pickup the win. Johny Fitness can not wrestle at the IPW Vault for 1 year.
The IPW Vault was filled to capacity with great fans. It was so packed, people were asked to move some of their cars before they got towed. It might have bet wet and cold outside in the rain, but the crowd and the ring action was HOT inside the VAULT!!
IPW Promotoer Troy Peterson and his wife, Caroline, brought their new son, Truman, with to the show. I didn't hear any crying from him, so he must have really enjoyed the show!
So far for 2008, I've reffed 50 matches in 10 shows....many more to come.

WWE posted an opening for a WWE Referee position on HotJobs.com. Here is the details:
"REFEREE, PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING REFEREE: Responsible for refereeing wrestling matches, providing guidance, direction and feedback to wrestlers and management team. Responsible for maintaining high level of spectator enthusiasm by insuring flowing continuity of wrestling matches. Interprets and applies rules of professional wrestling matches. Four years experience required. Please send resume to WWE, Inc. c/o Ed Kaufman, 1241 East Main Street, Stamford, CT 06902."
The news broke out on the wrestling news websites today. I read about it and with encouragement from family and friends, I have sent in my information for this opportunity. With over 6 years of experience and working with current WWE wrestlers, current TNA wrestlers, former WWE and TNA wrestlers and numerous independent pro wrestlers, I have the skills and experience to qualify for this position and become a great asset for WWE. *Steps off soap box and stops tooting my own horn* ;-)

Currently, my next show scheduled will be refereeing for 3XWrestling @ InPlay in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, June 20th, 2008. Doors open at 7:30PM. Show starts at 8PM. Here is the card so far:
The Main Event
Six Man Tag Team Grudge Match
"Delicious" Devin Carter, Casanova & Steve Biley
vs.
The Gentlemen's Club - Gage Octane, Mark Sterling & Todd Countryman
If Devin Carter's team wins, Carter will get a 3XW Heavyweight title match against Gage Octane in July and Steve Biley will be reinstated as referee.
If The Gentlemen's Club wins, Carter & Biley will be forced to leave 3XWrestling.
"The Rockstar" Jimmy Rockwell vs. Kraig Keesaman
The upcoming star Rockwell takes on the wily veteran Keesaman. Will Rockwell finally be able to get the big win in a match with a talented veteran or will the experience of Keesaman prove to be too much for the young "Rockstar" to overcome ?
Hunter Mathews vs. Knight Wagner
After their elimination in the 30 Man Gauntlet for the Gold, Wagner viciously attacked Mathews and gave him a barrage of blows, including one cheap shot low blow. On June 20th, Hunter Mathews seeks revenge, will he take out the aggressive Knight Wagner, or will Wagner's cunning and intellect outwit the athletic Des Moines native Mathews ?

Maddog McDowell & Krotch vs. Ryan Slade & Aaron Masterson
Also in action: Tyler Cook, "The Rebel" Jeremy Wyatt, "The Unbreakable" Zach Thompson, "The Asian Sensation" Ricky Kwong & more !
