le cheating en anglais

So I totally cracked and ended up downloading Angel 5x21 and 5x22 on my roommate's laptop while she and my other two roomies were gone for the long weekend. Patience, really not my virtue. I watched them back-to-back, and have been wallowing in a pit of depression ever since. In general, I loved them and couldn't be happier with the way things played out in the last two. Well, unless there was Spuffy, but they (almost entirely) distracted me from that, which is quite a feat. Trying hard not to think about the ending, because my heart is more broken than ever that the story has to end here. I was particularly impressed with how well they managed to tie together all the different threads and give it a good, cohesive force that IMO has been missing in the finales since Buffy S5 and, well, Angel S1 (since Angel plotlines have always been a lot more influenced by outside forces). Anyways. Still hurts a bit (a lot) to think about the specifics, so I am glossing over muchly. And I really really want a complete-series rewatch. Definitely doing 2, 3 and 5 (well, 5 if I can bear to) this summer though.

In Quebec news, we took a trip to Quebec city this weekend. Gorgeous, gorgoeous city, especially Old Quebec, where a lot of colonial history is preserved. My english is starting to feel a bit awkward after incessent french speaking. It's really funny when we realize our english has adopted french-style sentence structure and vocabulary. My presentation on BtVS went reasonably well, and I mananged to convince someone in my class, who knows an obsessive fan, to check out the show, so I'd say my work here is done. Okay. Back to le francais...
