Dude. Livejournal talks to me entirely in french on this computer. Ooh, and the keyboard`s got all these extra symbols and functions. It`s very exciting. I`m in a campus computer lab in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Population 47,000 (the metropolitan population is closer to 137,000 though), which is the smallest place I`ve ever lived, by far. Should be interesting. Yes, I am a big-city snob. But the place seems good, and everyone is very nice. Starting tomorrow I`m supposed to be all-french, all the time. Huh. We`ll see about that.
Exciting fandom-related tidbit: I went out to a grocery store and bought ELLE magazine - Québec edition (!!) - with Caroline Dhavernas of Wonderfalls on the cover (she was a child star here). Oh how I love her. I`m going to go back to my suite and read it, and forget about the existence of new Angel episodes that I will not see. Which reminds me, the other day I picked up the dvd sets of Buffy S5 and Angel S3 for $80 (CDN) altogether, as an early b-day present to myself. That`s like, less than $60 US, I think? I am very pleased. There`s nothing I love more than saving lots and lots of money. They`ll give me something to do when the inevitable post-Buffyverse depression and/or insanity hits me later this summer.
