weekend update
this weekend was one of those really relaxing weekends where you're still busy the whole time, not lazy. it was lovely.
ryan didn't get home from his business trip til 9 on friday, so we went out for a looong late dinner at the tapas bar by our house and then watched a movie.
saturday i went to the big brother big sister picnic with my lil and then a cookout/hangout at one of ryan's coworkers. whose house was AMAZING, by the way. it was nice - more of a family thing (lots of toddlers to play with!) and people knew who i was from ryan talking about me, so it was fun to exchange ryan stories.
one of the guys invited us to a club that night, but neither of us were in the mood to go out. ryan told him he wanted to go to lowe's, which brought out all sorts of old school references. and you know what we ended up doing? going to bed bath and beyond and target at 9 pm to buy the last of the stuff for our bedroom (curtains, accessories, wall art, etc.). we are such losers!
sunday was super productive - laundry, working out, grocery shopping. and laying in bed reading the sunday paper and part of a book. oh, and then we watched two not-so-good movies (family stone and date movie, there was nothing good we haven't seen on the on demand channel and we were too lazy to go out) and killed two bottles of wine.
see what i mean? gloriously relaxing, fun weekend. it was nice after so much traveling and partying the last month, and good to just hang out with ryan alone.
