 AMP 2011: Day 15

April 18, 2011: Tax Day (insert ominous music here)

And, in honor of all the people who have wrangled with W-2s, and finally finished filing, and thankfully terminated TurboTax, may I present.........drumroll please..........Tax Law Porn! *applause* *applause*

The terrifically funny, take-your-mind-off-your-taxes podfic is Resident Alien, written by seperis (yes, I know, I'm glutting the market with seperis-fic....and yet, I can't seem to help myself).

A Smallville fanfic that takes place in some nebulous future where Clark is still actively Superman, and he foils Lex's schemes then comes home to bed with him; Resident Alien features a deliciously focussed Lex, and a Clark who's inner monologue is perfect - he knows there's some reason to avoid Lex right now, but damned if Clark can remember what that reason is. Lex's application of his frighteningly devious intellect towards tax law is both diabolical and cracktastic, while Clark's frustration (and his attempts to derail Lex's plot) only makes the whole situation funnier. Actually, I'm pretty sure I learned more about tax law by reading this fic than I did taking an entire semester of Econ. Not that I learned a whole lot at all during that class - the Professor was approximately nine hundred years old, and I spent more time watching him to be sure he didn't keel over right there at the podium, than I did actually taking notes.

So, you should listen to this podfic :
 A) to celebrate the fact that your taxes are done until next year, and you don't have to worry any more about them for at least a little while,
 B) to enjoy some CLexy porny goodness,
 C) because I say so.

Download the mp3 here. And put the calculator away while you're listening - you don't want Lex to get at it, and start doing your taxes as well (he's a little bit scary about tax law......)
