Why I Love It: NEARLY-A-SPACE-PIRATE BB-8! Actually, this story is told from Poe's POV, so to give BB-8 a greater voice in the podfic, I used several of BB-8's sounds ripped from the movie (all sfx snagged via this post - BB8 Pickup Lookaround 01 #000257, BB8 Patrol Detection Scan 360 #000367, BB8 Impact Waggle 01 #000277, BB8 Headturn Mechanical 01 #000340). I really loved the friendship and trust between Poe and BB-8, and the sass between Poe and his kidnappers was so satisfying for me. And to top it off, the mental image of BB-8 barrelling through hordes of enemy combatants, and knocking them ass over teakettle, is priceless.
