Derek plasters on his most charming grin and leans up against it, bracing a hand in front of the guy and sliding his sunglasses down to give him a once-over.
The guy blinks up at him and flushes. His mouth falls open a little and Derek clears his throat around the way he kind of wants to press his thumb to it.
“Hey,” Derek says, still grinning. “I’m here for my sister?”

Why I Love It: All the alive!Laura Hale for me, please! I actually recorded this podfic straight off the initial tumblr post, sans title info, and had to wait around until it got corssposted to the AO3 before I could post. I.....may have jumped the podficcing gun a little bit, but it's such a lovely premise for an AU - Laura ends up in police custody the day before Season One begins, and so Peter never gets the chance to kill her in the woods. Alive and and a little bit cranky, Laura and Derek handle the hunt for the rogue Alpha and pick up a few strays (in the form of everyone's favorite best friend duo) in the process. And of course there's the glorious spectacle of Derek Hale, Terrible Flirt, as he tries to process the strange attractiveness of one Stiles Stilinski. Everything is delightful, and everyone lives.
