Why I Love It: I can't decide what's best about this story - the mental image of Groot holding a baby, the fact that fabrega has Blanket Permission to Podfic, the way Rocket tries to shake down the mother for a reward, or the way Drax gets so soft and a little painful when he's holding the baby. Argh, my HEART - this whole story is a really wonderfully well-rounded depiction of these a-holes post-movie, and it's such a ridiculously offkilter premise that OF COURSE it would happen to the Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's got the snappiest humor when it comes to back-and-forth dialogue. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME. (Also, the Intro/Outro music is a cover of a Woodie Guthrie song, which makes both an excellent lullaby, and ALSO a terrifyingly long-lasting earworm. Enjoy.)
