After a brief interlude of podfic about other Avengers, we're now returning to some Steve'n'Bucky storytime. BABY Steve'n'Bucky podfic, even - weeeee bb Steve, and his trusty beloved sidekick, Bucky Bear.
Okay, see, I didn't really know anything about A-Babies Vs. X-Babies until I listened to
sisi_rambles podfic of
The Velocity of Vegetables (which is why this podfic is dedicated to her), but you don't need to know much about the comic to enjoy this story. Imagine this: all the Avengers and the X-Men are toddlers. And they are chibi-adorable super-powered. And Bucky Barnes is a teddy bear. Everyone is still exactly themselves - Scott Summers is kink of a jerk, Steve Rogers has an incredible appetite, Clint Barton loves Pizza Dog - but they're all only two feet high. Now you're good to go.
I Always Need to be Sure of You is an A-Babies Vs. X-Babies fic, written by
zarabithia (who has Blanket Permission to Podfic \o/). I love this story to bits. Bucky's perspective is a little bit snarky, a lot loyal, and incredibly fluffy (which makes sense, since Bucky is full of fluff). There's cameos from Steve's Star Wars toys, an army of bears, and some long-suffering blocks. Pizza Dog is perfect, and Kate is perfect, and all the character traits that make Steve Captain America shine right on through. Basically, I want to cuddle this entire fic to myself like a particularly snuggly pillow, and fall asleep with it.
I used the song
You've Got A Friend In Me, as performed by Randy Newman and Lyle Lovett, for the Intro/Outro music. Could I possibly have picked any other song? I don't think so.
This podfic's got a run-time of 00:26:22, and can be downloaded as an mp3
right over here (thanks,
paraka for hosting me). I hope listening to this podfic fills you with as many warm and lovely feelings as Steve has for Bucky Bear. Enjoy!
