some stuff you might care about...maybe?
So, today I went bowling. I lost to a 7-year-old. Bowling, it turns out, is not my best sport.
I got some Christmas shopping done - you ever seen a HoodieBuddie? It's this pretty awesome sweatshirt (aka, hoodie), that has headphones sewn into the drawstrings of the hood. V and Middle Sis are getting one each, as they were on sale at JCP. Yay me, ahead of schedule with the gift-getting!
I also watched Prince Caspian - for Narnia! I am so excited for Voyage of the Dawn Treader....sad to say, even though I grew up along with Harry Potter And Pals, I'm more excited for THAT than for the new HP movie that's out. Really, when I get around to seeing HP7 (aka, "Harry Potter Spends Time In A Tent", followed by "Harry Potter Gets People Killed By The Bucketload"....yeah, that's what I termed the parts of the last book, when I read it for the first time), I'm probably going to spend more time pointing out all the places where the director got things wrong than actually enjoying the film. But Narnia....maybe it's because those seven books are central to my early childhood, or maybe because I read and reread them less times than the HP books (and can therefore remember less specific details), but I feel better overall about the Narnia movies than the Harry Potter ones. I guess...I think the Narnia films feel more magical than the HP ones, of late.
I began a new scarf, having nearly finished the last one but running out of yarn less than 2 inches from the finish. A trip to Michael's is in my future, and scarves for everyone this Christmastime!
Finally, I went through all my podfic-related posts, and updated download links to include mp3s and podbooks over at the Audiofic Archive (I have typed the phrase "over at the Audiofic Archive" more times than I really ever wanted to, tonight - though I give great thanks to the wonderful people who maintain said archive, for you are amazing and I am barely techno-literate. Thank you, and keep up the great work over there!). I also added a few more tags, so that should one wish to sort my podfics by fandom, it's possible to do so now. Go forth, and download easier!
