Annnnnd, I've once again fallen way behind on my amplificathon posting. But, here's a bucketful of crossover podfics for you to hear.....while I panic about my podfic output, and get slightly overcompetitive as the last few days of AMP13 draw near.
inheritance, written by
tigriswolf, is a Supernatural-Dark Angel crossover wherein Sam gets thrown into an apocalyptic future.....though, not an apocalypse of his own making. And then there's angst, and manpain, and demonpowers, and dopplegangers - all the best kind of things you want in a crossover, really.

Transfer Students, written by
copperbadge, is an excellent Avengers/Batman/Spiderman/X-Men crossover fic. It's also a five-times fic: five times the Avengers make a donation to a Certain School up in Westchester. Tony's particularly great in this one, and the cameo from Hank McCoy made me grin SO HARD as I was recording.

Mullets of the Darkly Damned, written by
novembersmith, is another one of those this-is-a-crossover-on-a-technicality-thanks-to-AMP13-rules crossovers, featuring a variety of bandom folks from Panic! at the Disco, My Chemical Romance, and Reggie and the Full Effect. Written for one of the best memes out there, this fic has hilarity, witty banter, and surprise!vampires to boot.

The Summer Before, written by
novembersmith, is a Bandom-Batman: The Dark Knight crossover written for the same "what are these random characters doing?" meme as the last podfic. Jon Walker meets The Joker as a wee bitty child, and they spend a kinda-creepy, kinda-adorable summer vacation together. Ta-daa!

00.06, written by
novembersmith, is a Harry Potter/Bandom crossover fic of adorability and hijinks. Gerard is a Hufflepuff! Mikey is a Slytherin! Sirius is a backstabbing traitorous pig dog! James is a squidling's mommy!

a place of permanence among the stars, written by
tigriswolf, is a very fandom-heavy crossoverfic: DOOM meets Blade Series meets Pirates of the Caribbean meets Star Trek Reboot. This story has some of my favorite bits of very fandom-specific things (how John Grimm became Leonard McCoy; Captain Jack Sparrow being in love with his ship through time and space; immortal characters living 'into the future' in their fandoms), and also vampires in space. I....have a thing for well-written vampires, it must be said.

shadows yawn and stretch to the east, written by
tigriswolf (seriously, it was the BEST DAY when I learned about this author's Blanket Permission to Podfic.....at least, in terms of my amplificathon score....), is a Glee/Leverage/Supernatural crossover fic that examines one possible future Kurt Hummel might have had. I completely blame
podklb for the fact that I'm even clicking on Glee fics, by the way....but hopefully, this podfic will make more folk than just
podklb smile.

Sins of the Father, written by
pprfaith, is a Supernatural/Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover of incestual threesomes. Confused? Well, it's the sequel to
Play a Game of Make Believe (which you should go listen to!), wherein Sam, Dean, and Buffy are monster-hunting siblings. In this one, they're monster-hunting siblings who happen to make out a bit. And then Ellen Harvelle stumbles upon the BuffySamDean show in the dark, and there are Emotions. It's really pretty excellent. (Side Note: I made this podfic cover as an exercise in cutting'n'pasting, wayyyyyy back when I first recorded Play a Game of Make Believe, not knowing that a sequel even existed. Imagine my surprise, when I came across Sins of the Father, and already had most of a cover already finished!)

no road too winding, written by
pprfaith, is a Highlander/Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Stargate: SG-1 crossover of ancient beings, ancient history, and ancient languages. Methos meets Daniel Jackson and has an awesome time - then Methos meets Dawn Summers and has another awesome time. Imagining the awesome time that would happen should Daniel Jackson and Dawn Summers ever meet keeps me up at night, grinning.

left me a love worth keeping, written by
quintenttsy, is a Bandom-Disney RPF-Music RPF (for those few musicians who pop up in this fic who aren't actually ~bandom folk~) crossover of fake bands, not-quite relationships, obnoxious friends, and crossdressing as performance art. Plus, it's one more podfic added to the list over at
sodamnskippy - I can't help it, but
quintenttsy seems to have sunk that pairing's hooks into my fluff-loving soul.

Questions & Spells, written by
boosette, is a Harry Potter 'verse-NCIS crossover. The story features a very young Abby Sciuto, who's just as in love with the mysteries of science at age 10 as she will be at age 29. I loved Abby's reasoning for why her parents should keep her in Muggle school, and since I pretty much want to BE Abby when I grow up, this whole story is just lovely and wonderful and full of delight.

And, that's that. The current total for Podfics Posted To Livejournal is now: 553 podfics. I have..... eight days to meet a self-set goal of 600 podfics posted. Crap. It is entirely likely that I will vent my spleen in an embarrassingly public manner again, sometime soon, over my current amplificathon points tally. It's like I can seen the points-crazy coming right at me, but there's no way I'm stepping out of the way until the month's over.
