Someone tried to charge $890 on my debit card at a Ladies Foot Locker (too bad I don't even have that much money in my account), got denied, and then tried to charge $500 and that was when my bank froze my account. So... they didn't get away with it, but I still have my card. This person some how got my card number and was able to use it at a store, not online. My mom says that either the person worked at the store or knew someone that worked there because no one should be allowed to charge a debit card with just the card number and nothing else. Oh yeah and I have no idea how someone could have gotten my card number anyway. I never go anywhere without my wallet, and its not like I leave it around carelessly. So I looked up the store that it was used it and found out it is in Short Hills Mall that's about 20 minutes from campus. I want to go there and see who works there and laugh at their stupidity and get them arrested for fraud. I may also report this to campus police because it was someone here that had to have done it.
Note: If you're going to try and steal money from someone's bank account take small increments and never try to take almost $1,000 from a debit card... credit maybe, debit no.
My card has been canceled, and I am being sent a new one.
