Reasons To Love This Episode

- For completely fooling me about Tony being conscious. I was all excited about Jack actually BEING AT CTU when Tony woke up, it didn't occur to me that he was being lured in until he was actually jumped alfkjsa. But OMG. Jack's face when he found out Tony was asking for him. And then when he leaned over and was all softly, "Tony, it's your snugglebear Jack." After killing that guy (OMG SCISSORS TO THE NECK EW AND OW), Jack had to be sad that his buddy wasn't actually awake. But at least Tony's still alive! I was omgscared that somehow Jack and Killer's fight would involve Tony. Like a gunshut misses Jack but hits Tony and then I would have freaked out.

- AND THEN! theleapingmuse, omg. Jack broke a rib. HE GOT HURT JUST LIKE WE WERE TALKING ABOUT ALFKJAS. Now he can be all *ow rib hurts* for the rest of the day and we can awwwww at how he is brave like Justin.

- And then completely fooling me about Spenser being a sooper spy. Seriously. I no sooner muttered that CTU sure sucks on weeding out the spies (Nina, Marianne) when Spenser (with two s's, I learned) says he actually thought he was working for the President for the good. OMG SPENSER. :(( Wait. Assuming he's actually telling the truth and that isn't his cover story. Oh, great. I hadn't thought of that before.

- Chloe! Okay, yes, she's v. brusque most of the time, but, dammit, she's damned good at her job and it only took her a SECOND to realize something was up with Spenser. And I love that. I love that when it comes to her job, she's the best of the best. And yet when it comes to the emotional, to relationships both in love and friendship, she's this vulnerable person who screws up, but is trying and is in no little way actually confused why this part of her life isn't as easy as the computer part. And I know I have yet to write about 24 without mentioning QaF, but she really is my Brian fix. Yay, dysfunction!

- I can't believe I'm going to put this here, considering my loathing of Audrey, but her reunion scene with Jack really touched me. You could just feel how much guilt they'd both been carrying around and now there was this chance for redemption. *sniff* It'd be like if Brian had not only never seen Justin again after the prom, but had thought for nearly two years that he'd died. Okay, well, not exactly the same, but you get my drift. Trauma, yo! That said, they better not get back together.

- Audrey interviewing Diane. Oh, hold on - something about Diane first: There is just something about her I don't trust. I have no proof, just... she has these looks sometimes like she's not who she pretends to be. I mean, SOMEONE had to know Jack was still alive. I don't know. Could just be her laying claim to Jack and I'm paranoid. Anyway, the interview. Talk about awkward. Diane's line about just accepting Jack for who he was - I loved that! Audrey was having a problem doing that long before Paul died.

- Um, omg. I just realized the other woman in Jack's life is Diane, making them JACK AND DIANE LIKE THE SONG ALKFJAKS. It's like destiny. Which means she'll be dead by the end of the day. :| And there needs to be a J/D vid to that song now, kthx.

- Crazy First Lady taking the day into her own hands. You go, girl! I wonder how long it's gonna take her to get to Jack and tell him all about the evidence that was nestled between the presidential boobies.

- Jack being so paternal with Derek. ♥ Jack's big heart didn't have Kim and so he fathered Derek and I love that so hard. Although I'm not looking forward to the big Jack/Kim reunion I'm sure that's awaiting us. :| But, phew, now Derek is safe. Unless he's kidnapped later and used against Jack. I'm just saying. It's happened before. :|

- I think I like McGill. I'm not a Sean fan at all, so I wasn't thrilled with him being on the show. But so far, so good. We'll see how long that lasts.

Reasons To Be :| :| :| With This Episode

- For completely fooling me about Tony being awake. Makes both lists. I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THEM TALKING OKAY.

- Fangs is not scary to me. I mean, last season? That Marwan guy totally scared the shit outta me. But this guy gets his evil on by talking softly while text scrolls by. Hmn, not scary yet.

- CTU about to go to Walt to start an investigation for a White House mole. I know that's how things would normally play out, but *yawn*

- Agent Drew was nowhere to be seen. He better show up later.

Well, hey, that list was short! Or I'm just forgetting cos I have no ep to review. Eh, either way.

Lost

WTF was that? :|

This whole ep felt so frustrating. Which, um, pretty much was the point considering it tapped into Charlie's history and then present frustration at not being believed. So, um, good job!

- Okay, start with the lovely bits first. Sawyer and Hurley. Awwww. Sawyer was giving him a hard time, but it wasn't all growly (cos Sawyer was all, mmmmmm, Kate's touching me), it was totally how brothers tease and then Sawyer helped him! Nevermind that, considering how things are going on this island, Libby will probably end up cutting Hurley's dick off, stuff it with some batteries and use it for a flashlight.

- Another lovely bit: The image of Charlie and his piano in the surf. Visually, that was stunning. I'm anxiously awaiting the 343487625 icons that will show up.

- Randomness: Speaking of icons.... Why is it so hard to find Shannon icons? Especially where she is not about to die, dying, or dead. Life hard.

- Libby. I don't trust you, girlfriend. I do recall Hurley stepping on someone's foot in another ep, but I got the feeling that wasn't what Hurley was remembering her from. She kinda panicked a moment, then said about the foot stepping. And Hurley still didn't remember. LIBBY YOU ARE EVIL LIKE THAT DAMNED DOG.

- LOVED Charlie calling Locke on the whole "Kate sees a horse..." thing. It's true. Other weird stuff happens and people accept it. I mean, it wasn't THAT long ago Walt was taken and the whole group rallied around. So why does the idea that another child would be in trouble that shocking? I do get that trust is a hard thing to win back. And it doesn't look good that Charlie still had the drugs. And that tough love is just that: love. But then Locke is standing there, lecturing on lies and trust - AND HE KEPT THE HATCH A SECRET FOREVER WTF! I really want to understand Locke's motivation this ep, and I'm sure I could bullshit my way through it, but mainly I'm just surprised by his extremism this whole hour. Oh, Obi-Wan. Hitting bad. Use your words!

- I'm really loving Jack this season. I even liked his backstory last ep. (I actually teared up when she left him, omg. Though now I'm curious who Wife was seeing. It has to be important!) And this ep, he went and checked on Charlie's cheek. Awww. And, yeah, Jack would have done it for anybody. But I think Charlie is always going to be special to Jack after fighting so hard to revive Charlie in the jungle. Charlie was his redemption.

- Now, the island. Last ep had the Freaky Smoke Monster and what you see in it is personal. There has to be something to the fact that the two Obi-Wans on the island are the only ones who've seen it and survived. And come away from it more at peace. Having faced their demons, maybe. Hmn. But later when Charlie attributes the island's influence, Locke shoots him down. Could've been his own frustation talking, I suppose. Because if the island can give Locke the use of his legs back, I don't see the big disbelief in the idea that it could also give Charlie a warning via visions.

- Michael is still gone. YAY!

- Hopefully nothing will happen to Claire and Aaron, seeing as they still aren't baptized BECAUSE EKO IS NOT A REAL PRIEST. Is bad to lie about your godliness, Mr. Eko. :|

- Oh god. The commercial set. CHARLIE IN DIAPERS. I feel so embarrassed for them and yet couldn't stop laughing, hee. I mean, c'mon, did you see how much heart Charlie put into it? He was all *makes the choreography his own* and :D :D :D. Until Liam fell through the slats. And then I laughed harder.

- Charlie's brother is an ass. Why couldn't he or the girlfriend had the uncle send them the plane tickets? Advance him something from the promised job, even. No, he sells the piano and ditches Charlie. Niiice family. And yeah, yeah, drugs don't exactly give you the best reasoning skills, but still. And worse yet when you remember Liam turns his back on Charlie AGAIN later when Charlie goes to him for help before the plane crash. Ass!

Gilmore Girls

- For the record, you wake me up at 3am for something you could have told me at 9am? I'm kicking your ass. Taylor is insane and I know that's supposed to be small town endearing, but I would kick.your.ass.

- I told you that June 3rd wedding date wasn't going to last! Er, well, that entry didn't get posted. But I totally thought it! Cos, hey, June may be wedding season in the real world, but it's Feb or May for shows. Hello, ratings sweeps! So either that wedding was getting postponed/cancelled or they were eloping in May. No way were they having a wedding over summer hiatus and not showing it. Vacations, yes. Weddings, no no no.

- Ohhhkay. GG totally regifted Sherilyn Fenn to us. She was already Jess's stepmom and now she's April's mom. So either she has a twin or Luke slept with his sister's first husband's wife. Loving an actress and wanting her back is cool and all, but this messes with my mind, people. And they made her basically the same person alksjda. Which, I guess, is sorta the point. Luke definitely has a type. All his women (Anna, Rachel, Lorelai) have been dark-haired quirky free spirits. Awww.

- Rich boyfriend sending us flowers, books, coffee. Yes, Rory, we should all have such problems. Heck, I've even forgotten why she was mad at him. They fought in a bar, that's all I remember. Come to think of it, I was sympathizing with Logan at the time. He was having a bad day via daddy, wasn't he? Well, anyway. Yay for Logan! Loved that he went to Lorelai for help. But...

- Lorelai. Honey. Darlingest. Everything you just listed as reasons to hate Logan? WERE RORY'S OWN DAMN FAULT. RORY stole the boat. RORY dropped out of school. RORY did the other thing that I can't remember right now. Grrrr.

- But then I can't stay mad at you, cos you had the saddest wee face when Luke got excited about postponing the wedding. Oh, Lorelaiface. :( Then again, don't put an Out out there if you don't want it taken up. That's like, in the Relationships 101 Handbook, yo. :|

- April was working for me before, but the cutesy gotta-love-me factor is wearing on my nerves now. We get it. You're cute and quirky and really smart. (And your website doesn't even need an address in the browser when Luke goes to look at it, heh.)

- I thought Lorelai was going to have a worse reaction to finding out about April than she did. Or she's stewing and will explode later. I just know I'm not looking forward to all the inevitable doubts she's going to have about her and Luke. Yada, yada, covered that ground with previous boyfriends. And really, what was Luke smoking that made him believe not telling her at the beginning was a good thing? He's annoying me and it annoys me that it's annoying me. I love Luke! I want my v. own Luke to cook all my meals and redo my bedroom. But he's sabotaging himself and Lorelai and I don't get it. Well, I DO. But it still annoys me.

- Paris and Doyle doing their homage to the Pink Panther movies alkdja. Kato was always leaping out at Clouseau and it's just as funny now. I love Paris so hard! *attacks her*

P.S. *dead* has never been a more appropriate reaction here, cos omg, lennongirl kicks ass by tallying up how many times Jack's kicked ass. Day 5: Jack's Body Count ♥ ♥ ♥
