The disclaimer at the start of every enhanced ep bugs me.
There's a disclaimer?? Also, it is obvious that real difference in the LAX-verse is not that the plane didn't crash, but that Jacob never ~touched~ Jack etc.

Er, his dad is around? O...kay.
Yeah, I went wtf a lot.

Oh, man, I forgot (or didn't ever know?) it was called Boone Hill. :(
I didn't know that. :((

Hurley: You know, you and me, trekking through the jungle going to do something we don't quite understand. Good times.
:D :D :D

THE LIGHTHOUSE WAS TOO PRETTY TO BE SMASHED TO PIECES.

Oh, Ben. You chose Alex this time! Just when I thought I couldn't love you more. ♥
I didn't think he would do it, tbh. :')

Ben's face when Ilana chose him at the end, omg. My lip wibbled.
I CRIED. :((

MOTHERFUCKING SAWYER AND MILES AS LAPD DETECTIVES. I WANT THIS TO BE THE SPIN-OFF SERIES PLZ.ALDFKJASLKJ SO MUCH LOVE.
OMFG I KNOW. I WOULD WATCH THE HELL OUT OF THAT SHOW.

Bring on the wet sexytimes next week!

Not technically, my bad. Just that the first time an LAXverse scene starts, they say "This is not a flashback or a flash-forward. It is a flash sideways. It presents what would have happened if Oceanic Flight 815 never crashed and landed in Los Angeles." I took it that that was ALL that had change, but, um, I do believe I was being too literal. *facepalm*

SRSLY. When Ben was in the principal's office, I was sure he'd screwed Alex outta her college dreams. AND THEN HE MADE ME PROUD. ♥

*fingers crossed for sexytimes*

You are too effin funny. lol

You know, I hate Jack. I really do. Everything that goes cattywampus on the island is his doing:

-Locke says don't use the radio. He did and Naomi got killed, and the killers found them.

-Locke gives Jack a letter and Jack won't read it, then Locke gets killed.

-Everyone said don't use the bomb. Jack did and Juliet got blowed up. Oh, and because he did, there's a parallel timeline, he's got a son, Jin and Sun are still apart, Charlie got arrested, Kate is on the run again...see? Everything goes back to Jack.

That said, Sayid rocks my socks. Sawyer...sigh. I adore this man!!! Ben...every time I want to hate him, I can't. Hurley is love.

And dude, the Sawyer/Miles spinoff? I'm SO there!!!!

Aww, dang, my Sayid "Die, motherfucker!" icon is on IJ. You'll have to settle for Dean.

I can see it as a parallel world with no connection to the plane crash timeline, but not a singular continuation of the exact people we've been following for years.Well, that disclaimer is badly worded--what the producers have said about the sideways universe is that it's the universe if the bomb exploded; i.e., if the island went underwater in 1977. That is why the sideways universe is so important; it actually reveals how much Jacob, etc. steered the lives of these people, and if you remove the island as a factor, look at how differently their lives end up. It actually makes me question whether or not Jacob is even good; without his influence, Locke ends up happy with the woman he always loved, Sawyer becomes a cop instead of a criminal, etc. It makes me wonder whether Jacob pushed them towards unhappiness in order to drive them to the island, like Smokey-Locke said. The producers have basically said that blowing up the island had huge ripple effects on an infinite number of variables that the 815 passengers never thought about; ( ... )

*nod nod* Yup, yup, I was caught up in thinking that the plane landing was the ONLY thing that had changed and was mega confused. I have since seen the light. ;)

OH GOD. THIS MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE. I was taking the whole "This is not a flashback or a flash-forward. It is a flash sideways. It presents what would have happened if Oceanic Flight 815 never crashed and landed in Los Angeles." thing to mean that that was ALL that had changed, when in reality it went all the way back to there being no Jacob to interfere, etc, so yeah, everything would've changed. You are freaking awesome. THANK YOU JULIEFACE. :X :X :X

*is trying to reply to as much as she can without missing things* ;)

The flashsideways might be another timeline starting from when the plane didn't crash, but you're right, not everything there makes sense. However, Sawyer working as a detective could. We don't know how far in the future it happens, but he mentioned that he had to decide and it was either becoming a criminal or a cop. He might have done that later. Personally, I think the flashsideways have to do with the crash, but since the crash happened mostly due to Desmond not putting the numbers into the computer, it all happened much sooner. He got there on the island on a boat, but even before that, the Dharma people were already there. In this timeline though, the island pretty much doesn't exist, so everything has changed there already and the crash is part of all this. Or maybe I'm just overthinking things. *lol*

Though I think he's actually been happier on the island than off*nods* He really seems like that. Off the island, he was more or less on the run and trying not ( ... )

I was so confused. I was thinking that "This is not a flashback or a flash-forward. It is a flash sideways. It presents what would have happened if Oceanic Flight 815 never crashed and landed in Los Angeles." meant the plane not crashing was the ONLY thing that had changed and just.. wha-? How does that make sense? But it's more that without the island around, there was no Jacob to touch them and then no one to influence their lives. And it suddenly made so much more sense, hee. Way to confuse me during the enhanced eps that are supposed to help un-confuse me, Lost writers. :P

If it wasn't for my undying need for Sawyer to find Juliet in LAXverse, I'd almost wish he'd get to stay on the island and be happy. Er, back in time with Juliet. He's not so happy there now. :(

a game board in front of them and it having the shape of the island. o.O

INORITE?!

Lemme know if you find out what Jin's boxers were!

waiting for Claire to suddenly stab Kate EXACTLY. Was kinda shocked she didn't. I guess Locke's talk could've have that influence on ( ... )

but rather a flashsideways of how things would've gone had the plane landed safely in LA
And if the island was still here, they're missing some major details there! The explosion prevented the crash from happening but it clearly changed so many other things as well. No more Jacob, no more Man in black etc. It would seem their explanations are more confusing than not having any.

I love your comments, they pretty sum up my reactions as I was watching the episodes as well. I can't wait for next week, I sense some major mind-blowing revelations again, or so I hope! :)

Word. I think it's suppposed to be that there is no more island, no more Jacob to influence their lives, etc.

Aw, thanks. We've been sharing a Lost wavelength. ;) Four more days til new Lost!
