Okay, this is freakin' awesome. I was hoping I'd have someone to squee about! I'm boggled as to why more don't like it. :( It's totally filling my darker sci-fi BSG need. I haven't looked around at other reviews or comms yet, and now I'm glad I haven't, heh. Least now I'll be braced for the hate when I do. All I know is that it's one of my favorite new shows this season. Love! Maybe it's BECAUSE we haven't watched the other SG shows? Hmn.
Oh, god, I love Rush so much too. SO MUCH. I like his and Young's confrontational relationship and actually, really like Young too. Oh, stop making that face. ;) Hmn, aside from some weird, mild dislike of Ming Na, the only person I don't like is Chloe, the senator's daughter. She makes me :| whenever she's around.
My eyes were so wide when they had Young turn murderer. I know he's military and has to make life and death decisions regularly, but this? Whoa. This was damned personal. I'm used to the James "Protect My Crew At All Costs Even If I Don't Like 'Em" Kirk way. So this blew my mind. Rush knows more about that ship and how to get home eventually than anyone! Of course, the fact that he doesn't actually wanna go home is the sore spot, I know. BUT STILL. I couldn't believe their bickering had gone that far in Young's mind. They'd have moments where they agreed on things, or when Young saw Rush was human. And then he strands him, expecting him to die! Oh, Young. I love all your flaws, even the murderous ones. And I can't wait until Rush shows up and kicks your ass. I definitely think those writers knew, those evil, evil writers. ;)

I think it is def. because we haven't seen the other SG's. The only person I know who watched/loved SGA absolutely refuses to watch SG:U because apparently the creators really fucked everything up at the end of the show and blah blah, it sounds like the naysayers of QaF-Cowlip all over again. WHATEVER, I LOVE SG:U!!!
Young is SO out of control. I had like-potential for him before the murder, but man, the guy seriously used the communication stones just so he could go back and PUNCH LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS OUT. He has serious rage issues, man. And I am already feeling that protective streak toward Rush, so. :D
I actually like Ming Na, though her home visit was so Lifetime-Gay-Friendly-Movie-of-the-Week. I adore Eli, LOVE LOVE LOVE Greer, and am okay with Chloe even though she's just basically a love interest for James. I find TJ mildly annoying. I think it's her hair. ;)
