MY HEART WAS BURSTING WITH LOVE OMG ;) Though he could've been telling his mom that she held him back as a child and smelled, for all the Spanish I know. But OMG, he was adorable and excited and lovely and she was all :((( and then I was all :(((. ♥

Oh, ok. I thought it was one of the best and more natural speeches ever.. so I'm surprised nobody bothers to even mention it. And it's surprising if nobody on TV translated it later.. WTF?? nobody on that channel speaks Spanish? can't believe it..

So basically he dedicated it to his mother's grandparents, her parents (like her they were actors) "and all the comedy actors like her who had brought dignity and pride to their profession."

I know right?! I kept waiting for a translation, but nothing, woe. Thank you for the giving me the gist of it! No wonder she was in tears. :((

Yes, my mom thought what Jon said was stupid 'cause he said that Javier told her where the library was.. so yeah, he meant it was good but that he didn't understand anything so yeah, my mother thought this guy wasn't funny at all.. and can't say I disagree I thought many of jokes were stupid. I like Ellen a million times more.

I guess what people in USA don't know is that his mom is a very famous actress here with many awards and that she was very ill the last time he was nominated; so you know, it's a famous family of actors in Spain and obviously abroad the public miss the context of this historic fact.

I only felt bad for our Alberto Iglesias who is truly a genious. :(
