on my LJ use, cut tags, and removals (un-friending)

I don't use filters, and I *do* read LJ at work. If someone is friended on my journal, I want to know. I want to see that person show up every time he or she posts something. Hence, I don't use filters. I don't mind if other people do, and frankly, from my frequency of posts, I expect that I'm filtered out of a lot of people's default screens. Unfortunately, between my requirement to see everyone on my screen, and my desire to read LJ at work, I also have a higher personal/visual filter for this journal. And there are some people out there who don't believe in cut tags in the same ways that I do. I respect the occasional rant, and I understand the forgetfulness when there is something exciting going on. Often, what these people say is interesting and fun and wow! but I just don't want to read screens full of it right now at work. In short, I do have my limits in a multitude of directions. Today is as good a day as any to exercise them.

Happy PMS Day. "Moody" is not just a financial company.

While I'm at it, I'm un-friending a bunch of people from whom I have not heard/read posts in months. If you've been reading and lurking and just never saying anything, but have a strong opinion on staying "LJ friends," then toss me a note. (Kariokiev2, you're exempt.)
