I've had a couple of mild asthma attacks lately and my doc gave me a short course of an oral steroid (prednizone.) Holy Shit! No wonder athletes get addicted to steroids. What great stuff. I was moving around like a normal person rather than a shot up, broken down old fat man.
Ah, but of course, there's a catch. You can't stay on them for very long because they do all sorts of bad things - eventually. And, wouldn't you know, just like every other decent drug, what picks you up also lets you down. Even though I carefully tapered off them, per instruction, this first week not taking them is kicking my ass. I feel even LESS like getting out of bed in the morning than I usually do. It's about 1445 right now and I have to work at least until 2100 and I feel like crawling into the rack RIGHT FUCKIN NOW.
Anyone have any idea how long this withdrawal period is?
