(no subject)
i recently got back from seeing:
THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it was really good and really funny, and every one who can should see it. it is playing at the post street theater in san francisco (accessible by bart) until sometime in april. tickets are $40 - $50 or so, but if you buy rush tickets on the day of the performance they are $25. you have to be there 2 hrs in advance, so i would advise bringing company. when i called they said the best time to come for rush is sunday evening, but do what you can.
i sat in row b seat 1. off to the side and close enough to see the actors spit. other than that the show was fabulous!!! eg:
vp panch: cow
contestant (from audience, and prolly on instruction): could you define that please?
vp: it's a cow.
con: could you use it in a sentence?
vp: spell the word cow.

mitch (a convict doing his community service by being the grief cousilor): i wish i could beat 'em up a little to show them that the pain they are feeling right now really isn't that bad. but it would violate my parole.
anyway, yes. fabulous. see it. and i will very soon need to procure the soundtrack.
now off to watch "thoroughly modern millie"!!!!
