Even as a single person, I dont mind Valentine's Day. I certainly dont consider it the "painful reminder of being alone" that the radio was yammering on about this morning.  I am more likely to have a crummy Valentine's when I am in a relationship, since I am more likely to have expectations then, so being single is easier in a sense.
