1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Moved into a place with my boyfriend.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make one this year?
I never make any. So... no.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Santi's lady had a baby, but I never see him anymore.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My dog, Sugar.

5. What countries did you visit?
Canada.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A job, a BA degree.

7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Jan 20, Mar 26. Because I said so.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Figuring out exactly what I want to do with my life.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I really can't think of anything at the moment.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I just got the cold like everyone else. I also half broke my nose in January by running into a sliding glass door.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My bike.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My friend from high school, Julie, who got in a awful car accident and had to wear a halo. She stayed strong and positive about it and I applaud her for that.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
The same woman who's behavior appalls me every year. She also happens to be the mother of my two little sisters.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food and bike/camping stuff. But honestly, rent.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Being more involved in shows at school.

16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
City and Colour - "The Girl"

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
sleep

homework

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
First part of the day at my dad's, second part at my mom's.

21. How will you be spending new years?
Don't know yet! But I have Elephant Man rehearsals until 5pm that day.

22. Did you fall in love in 2009?
Absolutely.

23. How many one-night stands?
Zero.

24. What was your favourite TV program?
Family Guy, although we don't have a tv. We've been watching the DVDs and new episodes on hulu.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I wouldn't say hate, but there are a couple people that annoy me that I didn't know last year.

26. What was the best book you read?
It was a play actually, The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I can't think of anything. How sad.

28. What did you want and get?
Cast in a main stage show at school.

29. What did you want and not get?
A kitty.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I didn't see very many, but I guess UP was good, just a little too depressing.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 25 in the company of friends and family at the pool.

32. What was one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not going deeper and deeper into student loan debt.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Easy but not careless. But completely dressy when the occasion called for it.

34. What kept you sane?
Tim, knowing these are some of the last writing classes I'll ever have to take, and being busy doing things I actually enjoy.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Still Christian Bale and Jake Gyllenhaal.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
California's budget mess.

37. Who did you miss?
Friends back home.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Yael

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
It's the same lesson that keeps cementing itself. You're in charge of your own happiness. Like my tattoo, "Some pursue happiness, others create it."
