Super duper fun weekend, gah I love the Seattle peeps. Just a fun crowd to show with. It's been 4 or 5 weeks off since our last 1 day of AKC, and I was ready. We started off the weekend with a little Friday afternoon International seminar with Nancy Gyes. She is lovely, and sets up great exercises. So much long term knowledge and she does such a great job adapting to people's training style. After walking the courses, I decided to put in Peach and WAHOO!! Super baby dog! Sure gave me some goose bumps :) Beam ran 2 of the sequences and while he could.not get a certain weave entry (hmph), the other stuff I was very happy with. Apparently we're either on or really not.
Than we drove up north for Peach's debut in USDAA. What a whirlwhind of a weekend.
My perfect Peachy Pie. <3

We only had 2 Q's this weekend - Jumpers and Pairs with Gambit - but damn I am so super happy with her performances. Just thrilled. Ecstatic. We need to work A-frame contacts, she slid off the table once, and started pulling weaves at #3 out of excitement, but she had lovely focus, recalled off of Gambit in pairs, increased her speed each run, ran to the leash, lovely dog walk and teeter contacts, and found her lines. She ducked around her red jump in snooker and we salvaged it only for me to send her in the wrong end of the tunnel in the closing, but have I said how much FUN she is to run?

Living the dream.
Steeple was super fun with her, and although we had tons of bobbles, I'll keep entering her, because its just fun. I think we'll try Grand Prix in November just to see what she does :) SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! :)
Beam and Yankee got to play too. Beam had some fantastic runs and they were HAPPY. Gah he was so happy to be playing, which made me not care about the lack of Q's. He was just so fun!!

And
Yankee's for comparison. Little Miss Perfect got her 1st bye for regionals :) Maybe we'll go travel a bit more this year... hmmm :)
Yankee had a spectacular weekend, funny because it doesn't *feel* that way reflecting on it, since all I really think about is the snowball of a disaster that was Fancy Standard. Uh, it was bad. But all her other runs went well, winning GP, Steeple Finals, Fancy Jumpers, and Masters Jumpers. Granted she only had 1-3 dogs in her 18" jump height, but many times she was posting the fastest times out of all championship dogs, so they were earned ;)
My favorite run, from my favorite little heart dog. When we're smooth, we are smooth.
