My first gig as a trial secretary went pretty well, much thanks to Julia (and Cheryl) to holding my hand while I learned the ropes. My back appreciates not being chief course builder as well, though going through all jobs (sans hospitality, everyone knows I only would serve carbs and cheese ;) ) has it's values.
The weather was lovely.
The river was perfect.
The peeps were friendly and only one incident where I wanted to kick someone for being b*tchy. Not bad! Ha.
So much to say, yet so little will come out. I'm sitting here watching Aladdin and while very few celebrity deaths affects me, the loss of Robin Williams is sitting heavy on my heart. Oh to be free. God speed Robin.
So this morning I snuggled this face a lot.
And I reveled in the amazingness of the weekend. Of my life. I always am itching for more. More of what, I don't know, but soaking it in, that is my goal this fall.
Beam's team "Tri Tri Tri Again" with Jamie + Trek and Ali + Buoy secured the top spot on team day! So excited! Go black tri aussies! Too bad we never got around to the photo, but imagine the cuteness of it. Beam had some nice runs and some placements, but my huge success was his behavior in relay - such a good boy!!! It helped we went first, but I was so uber ecstatic over his calm demeanor, I could not have been happier.
I loved Beam's Team Jumpers run.

The rest of the weekend had some great successes as well. Beam and I are on the great
gamble hunt, and he was oh-so-close. I turned my shoulders just a little too soon. Bummer. He did nail the
Fancy Standard course though, so he redeemed himself ;)
Yankee = GAH! Cloud 9 over here. We are gelled as a team, and my only Nationals homework is to work contacts. More and more contacts. But yeah, we had our first perfect day EVER with 6 gorgeous runs on Sunday (Saturday was pretty ah-mazing as well). Fancy Jumpers was probably the most technical and fun.
Steeplechase was just smooth. A missed A-frame contact in
Snooker cost us our super Q, but I was super happy the plan was worthy.

Look who had awesome weavies this weekend!
Not only did I have all of the trial shenanigans, but my brother came down from Seattle to talk business stuff on Friday night, and I got to visit with some awesome Canadians who stayed at my house Sunday night. Monday morning we did *my* hike and played at the agility barn a bit, before they headed off to the beach. I tell ya, I love Canadians. Fabulous peeps for sure, and Peach got to play.
Thanks to Cheri for the awesome photos, Teri for the awesome video-ing and putting up with me making her stay til the bitter end, and all who contributes to such a happy place to be.
Life is only getting crazier, and I tell ya, I'm already looking forward to Hawaii when the weather goes to crap. :) Just trying to hang on, and live each moment.
The epitome of running my heart dog.
