Bend is good for the soul. A weekend away was just what we needed. Well, Travis is still up there while his dad has a heart procedure, but we had Saturday and Sunday hanging out, visiting with friends (I met 2 new sets of family friends and they were also awesome). Jaclyn saved my day by spending the night down here to take care of Dixie and Yankee. Apparently Yankee was a good girl and got to play ball with Marleigh - seriously the best dog in the world as she is so very non-confrontational. Anyways, so very nice to know the girls are in safe and loving hands and the kids came up the hill with us.
I ordered my Christmas present from Travis as well. A beautiful lawn the dogs could play on to take awesome photos of. Am I asking too much? ;) I really should've taken photos about an hour earlier, and I definitely am not used to taking photos with such bright sunshine in the morning, but you get the idea :) The dogs had fun. When we weren't playing ball, they got a few runs around the 100 acre hay field. It was their first time running with a gator, and they did fairly well. No injuries, so I was happy. Also, they hung out in the dog kennel outside during the day, and the only barky one was Beam, shockingly. When did LuLu become such a good dog?? Very proud of him. Everyone behaved themselves, slept in the room (crates for Lu and Peach), and didn't terrorize the cats or horses or resident springer and lab.
Oh and the baby horse is due March 6th. Definitely planning a trip up there soon after!! :)
Goofiest puppy ever!
This is the dog pond. I'm in love. Peachy had her first swim ever in it last summer. It's just perfect.
The hay field .. hard for Peachy to get into trouble on her naughty moments, when there really is nowhere for her to go.
Life is good.
