This stuff makes me ecstatic. While I don't know if this research is perfect, nor do I care, I LOVE that they are actively researching these topics to find out more.
Ha! we ran that in the paper today too! I was shocked! not by the research, but by the fact that the media even picked up on it.
The thing that got me was.. when a dog is wagging, how the hell can you tell if it's to the left or the right??? Isn't the motion of the wag by definition "back and forth?" And if so, are they saying it doesn't swing back as far to the right? or?? So yeah, I'd like to see video of what they're talking about . I always thought the lift in the tail was a lot more telling. High tails mean something different than low tails. Circles are a lot more friendly than HIGH TIGHT TIP WAGS... But then, what do I Know? I'm not Italian!
BAAAAAAAhahah!!! did you actually watch the video? That dog is NOT saying anything different with the two different wags, NO WAY! Unless with the right wag he's saying "can I have a cookie" but with the left he's saying "Ok, cheese is fine too" Bhahahahah. Also like that they showed a video of "no wag"
