Status Update
I missed the beginning of Rescue Me's 11 o'clock replay so now I have to wait to watch it. Hopefully I catch it soon cuz Sunday I'll be at APW and will probably miss it then.
I possibly have a place to live. Now I just need some more furniture to fit in it as it has more than a kitchen/dining/tv room and office/bedroom. BTW, couches are expensive. Fucking Swedes!
Also, I need to figure out how to talk a cable guy into coming on a Sat/Sunday so I don't have to miss a second of the new season of Mad Men.
D and I have been hanging around together a lot. Lots of yummy (free-for-me) dinners and fooling around. I pay him back in awesomeness and daily cookies or fresh-baked muffins. Tonight I made blueberry. Saturday it was banana-nut. For some reason, being in a relationship(ish) makes me do ridiculous things like bake and want to take care of them.
I leave for DC in a bit over 3 weeks and he knows this. We haven't talked about it, I kind of don't want to. I dunno.
My mother is sad that I am going. I don't know why. My dad says it's cuz before I could come home whenever she demanded in about an hour whereas now I'll actually be gone. I can't just hop on the first train out. It makes me uncomfortable and it makes me desparate to skip the goodbye bbq she wants to throw for me. I swear, if she cries, I'm out of there.
