Graduation was surprisingly underwhelming. The dinner with my family afterwards was much better. Returning to work the next day: a mistake.
It’s been a while since I was around cuz of my ridiculous schedule the past few days. I had my graduation followed by graduation dinner, then work. That weekend was a trip to PA to help my friend move out of his house at Carnegie Mellon and back to his parents’ place. Needless to say, while I am a great packer I am an awful co-pilot.
This week was work every day and the ballet equivalent of gay porn on Tuesday. [pirates + ballet + colorful costumes + flamboyant fights that put West Side Story to shame + young hard-bodied men - any trace of manliness whatsoever = Le Corsaire]
Friday I went out, got drunk, and saw Star Wars for the third time, nearly being thrown out of the theatre because of our many, loud late-night Star Wars sex jokes. I don’t know why they were so mad, there were only like 6 other people there and it was way too late for them to have been very sober either.
My favorite cousin (and practically sister) graduated high school this weekend. I went to that, her graduation mass (go Catholic school!) and the amazing dinner where the veal was spectacular and the bread was fucking beyond awesome.
After the dinner we went to our other cousin’s 12th birthday where our one aunt’s creepy husband was hanging around being creepy. they’ve been married for like 15 years but I’m telling you he just does not get any less creepy. One day he’s totally going to go down for killing kids and touching on their bodies.
I love that Mad Men is showing on AMC again. I fucking love it.
I'll post about TV tomorrow, when I'm awake enough to put my thoughts in order about all the TV I've missed lately (and caught up on this weekend).
My friends and I have come up with an idea for how to cut down on our entertainment spending: Weekly movie nights and watching TV shows on DVD.
Each week we pick a movie we already own, get shitfaced on cheap booze, and watch it. Thursday we rocked Mean Girls.
For the TV shows we're all just going to trade around or extensive TV-DVD collections. I've lent out my Arrested Development and gotten Heroes in return. I mostly got it because Star Wars kinda made me want to do Spock, even though he is so obviously gay IRL. Nonetheless, it's not going amazingly well since I find everyone but Syler (kinda hot), Mohinder (totally hot), Molly (adorable), and Hiro (totally adorable) to be boring and I mostly just fastforward through them. Still, the DVDs are free so I'm not gonna say no.
Next I'm aiming for Oz as I never saw the first or second season.
