Painting a porch is considerably more involved than previously believed.

Because first you have to prime.
Then you have to prime again. (sometimes?)
Then you have to paint.
Then you have to paint again. (sometimes?)
In the end, I have to go back to mom's place next weekend to paint.

Things would have gone a bit faster had my (younger) younger brother helped, but he was busy. He was supposed to wash the car, but instead he went to his friend's house. Then he came back cuz it was hot. Then back out. Back in. Back out. And finally home to eat dinner and be ungrateful as always. I don't know where he gets off saying it was hot. His job included a hose. Mine was just 7 hours of manual labor, sanding, priming, priming, and nearly killing myself with a roller on a giant stick thing. Those things, by the way, are fucking dangerous. They kill. How I ended up doing most of the hard stick-related work, I don't know. (i feel like there should be a joke here, about sticks. or even about the previous in/out/in thing) I guess that's what happens when mom plays the "i'm old and have trouble leaning/bending/holding rollers and stick-things above my head" card.

Also, wtf to fires fucking up the trains. Way harder to make my escape that way.

On to more interesting things. Oh Charles Brandon, poor (sexy) you and your hallucinations. I heart his wife more and more as time passes though. Previously, she was just rather boring and pretty. Now she's rather helpful and pretty. Good for her. Poor Jane as well, I liked her so much. In AP Euro I had to do a paper on Henry's wives, she and Cleves were my favorites. I liked Katherine as well, but she was a bit too...something...I dunno. And the ones that came after Cleves are usually just side notes, which is sad cuz they did some cool stuff. I mean, Katherine II was all free lovin' and shit, so that's interesting. And Katherine III was held hostage by Northerners and survived, so you know she was a badass.
Back to the point...as always, Sir Eye-Patch freaks me out. Though it looks like next week C-Brand (yes? no?) gets all in Cromwell's face so I'm excited.

I've begun watching this Breaking Bad show. I can't decide if I hate it. Malcolm's Dad (who he will always be) is a huge tool. But I heart the bf from Big Love. Even if he does totally (misguidedly) think he's a gangsta.

I hear Star Trek is playing in IMAX at Lincoln Center. I'm going to see Franz Ferdinand opening night but I figure the next night I can celebrate handing in my paper with an IMAX movie and some booze-icees. Plus, sometimes it's nice to be the least-nerdy person in the room. This is rare for me since all my friends are (life saving) med majors or (high-rollin) business majors and i'm just a (broke, nerdy) history major.

sibling dynamics, friends, manual labor, tv/movies, conned again, hot guys, nerds
