bad technology day
I am finally able to (hopefully) work a bit today. When I came in at 8, my computer started up, and then re-started itself, and again and again and again... sometimes it would let me log in, but then shut down as soon as I started working on anything.
I changed out the wires and plugs to no avail. Finally I broke down and called the help-less desk, they said mine was not the only computer behaving this way. They sent over a utterly inept doofus with a replacement power supply which took him 2 hours longer to install than it rightfully should have... I was watching. P could have installed the damned thing faster... blindfolded.
So now I have interweb access, but my messenger functions still don't work... *le sigh*
