Managed to meet up with Fran and grabbed a coffee but I was anxious to get to my stand before the pit lane opened and I didn't know how long it would take me to get there. Saturday and now the serious stuff starts. I'd worked out how to get to my stand on Thursday and it involved a tunnel under the start finish straight which came up agonisingly close to the Mercedes garage, then a bridge over the pit lane followed by another tunnel under the track again. Friday and a day off in Monaco and a bit of a lie in for me! I'd had a dream that I'd been chatting to Michael in a bar and it just gave me the weirdest feeling that I would get to see him up close soon. Thursday. and the start of F1 action. The hotel I was staying at is on the outskits of Nice so we were dropped off by coach at the train station. Bought tickets for all 4 days which was a long winded process at the time but then meant I didn't have to worry about it any more.
