Despite having full internet access again I have managed to keep up with the reading, having finished The Secret State, one member's account of the Polish underground resistance during WWII, I've moved onto With the Old Breed, fascinating read but I know I'll be sniveling over Ack Ack and Hillbilly again soon. I've decided that the next book will have to be something other than WWII based, either Don Quixote or The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
TV schedules (Sherlock Holmes excepted) have been lacklustre so I've been awaiting the autumn schedules eagerly - pleased to hear that Merlin and The Inbetweeners are due back soon.
I've finally taken the plunge and got onto ebay in order to sell items, I'm trying not to look out there for things to buy until I've made some money first, but it draws you in.....
Last week I had a great visit back to where we used to live to meet up with my daughter's friend and her mum and sisters. Lovely family, but every one of them dramatic. The mum always has some odd tale of a recent event, the oddball in the supermarket who said something strange to her was that day's story;, it always happens to her. It makes me wonder whether she really is unlucky or whether she keeps misreading situations. Or maybe I'm just oblivious and don't notice when these things happen to me. And now I'm off to check whether I've received any more bids on my ebay items.
