We had our last real practice today. It was bittersweet. I love crew. But I am ready to be done with crew for the season. We just have one more regatta, (in fucking Saratoga. Go figure!) and one day to take the boathouse apart, and then we're done. And I'm actually pretty happy about it. Next week, I am going to get my hair trimmed, which I have been meaning to for a month, go thrift shop hunting for winter clothing, (btw, have I mentioned how stoked I am about the crew jackets...well, as I probably haven't in here, and I don't think I have to anyone who reads this, you will not understand the irony in that statement, as I have gushed for about 15/person about these jackets) and read books in a cafe. Finally, I will have free time when the library's open! And I am going to take advantage of it, and check out new books, and there's a cute little cafe right down the road from the library, and I am really looking forward to it.
Before Veronica Mars, I watched Gilmore Girls, which used to be my favorite show. Yes, when Jared Padalecki was on. Yes, Emma, laugh on. But, anyways, I knew the guy who plays Logan was guest starring on Veronica Mars, so I figured, well, he can't be in two places for filming at once, so it might be safe to watch GG. No such luck. Logan had a very prominient role in this week's episode, and oh my god, Rory is disgusting me!!! She's an airhead who forgets whatever she had a problem with when Logan kisses her. She is going to make the perfect trophy wife if she doesn't ditch the jerk.
On the flip side, Lorelai and Christopher, who I have never really loved, were absolutely adorable! They fought, they talked through it, and they were funny along the way. I always wanted Lorelai to end up with Luke, but now I really think ending up with Lorelai and Christopher would make sense, and be quite cute.
And now....Veronica Mars!
I liked:
1) Matt Czuchry's character. Fake Charlie Stone, whatever his name really was. He went after the rich asshole (syn. Logan), and, while he didn't really suceed in taking him down, that was only because of Veronica. And I couldn't help but think how much better he would be with Rory, or Veronica for that matter, though I was thinking Rory, than Logan is.
2) Dick. Dick, Dick, Dick. What can I say about Dick? He was so funny! He's such a numbskull, and if they tried to pair him up with Veronica, I might not like that much better than Logan/Veronica, but he's so entertaining.
3) Veronica standing up to Parker. Parker's been bitching at Veronica for thinking that when she was being raped, it was consentual, because that would mean that Parker's a whore. Veronica is probably the only person on the campus who could possibly understand that.
4) Veronica clearing the frat house.
I didn't like:
1) No Piz.
2) No Weevl.
3) No Wallace.
4) No Mac.
5) Too much Logan/ Veronica and Logan.
6) The woman who hired Keith...ew. I majorly do not like her. Please, please, please, give Keith a different love interest!!!!
7) Fake Charlie failed.
Overall, definitely wasn't one of my favorite episodes, and same with GG, though I don't know what that's been like recently. Last week's VM was much better, and the one before it was even better. This one...not so much.
