This season has been unbelievable.

The Boston Herald just reported that Josh Beckett has an oblique injury and could miss the entire postseason. I'm waiting on an announcement from the club on the matter which was supposed to come after the game the Red Sox just completed against the Yankees. The Globe reports that the reason why Tek was looking less than fleet on the basepaths yesterday is that he strained his gluteus maximus during spring training, and it was particularly bothersome yesterday.

The Herald is reporting that David Wells may go back on the DL, with Lenny DiNardo likely to get his start on Monday.

ETA: And now redsox.com reports that Wells has been placed on the DL and reliever Jermaine Van Buren has been called up to take his spot. No word about Monday.

With Crisp going on the DL, how do you think they'll replace him in the field, and at leadoff?

Myself, I think they'll call Mohr up, bat Youk leadoff, and play Stern in center the majority of the time with maybe a few starts to WMP just to work him into the lineup.
