The Red Sox are going to call up Justin Masterson to pitch tomorrow's afternoon game. The 22-year-old Masterson's made four starts at Double-A Portland this year. In 19 innings of work he has an ERA of 0.95 and a WHIP of 1.00 with 23 strikeouts in 19 innings.
Masterson was promoted to Double-A Portland last year. In 10 starts he had an ERA of 4.34, a WHIP of 1.16, and more than a strikeout inning. He's more known for his ability to get ground balls though. He had a ground out to air out ratio of over three last year.
