Timlin being Timlin

This might be a really stupid question, but I was watching the game last night (with my shiny new MLB Extra Innings package, best $150 I ever spent, thank you) and after Youk hit his big double, the camera flashed to Timlin motioning for someone to throw him the ball. Did he want to save it to give to Youk, assuming he'd want to keep the ball from his first game-winning hit? Did anyone else see that?

I know it's a tiny little thing, but I've been wondering about it all day. Work is boring.

Also - for those of you keeping up with Papelbon's entrance theme song war, that AC/DC song and Super Bon Bon are in the lead.

Lastly, my favorite quote from Adam Stern about The Catch:

"I committed to it when it came off the bat. It was like poker, all in," said Stern. "The ball kept dying on me. I didn't know what was going on.

"But that's the way I play," he said. "Thank goodness I caught it or the ball's going to the wall and I'm answering other kinds of questions. If I missed it, I would have just taken it to the house, kept on going, take a cab back (to his apartment) and don't even shower."

I also read that he jokingly stomped away from the television in the clubhouse after Johnny Damon's webgem beat out his for the #1 slot on Baseball Tonight. Funny stuff.
