poetry

my daughter of 10 ½ years was writing poetry for a class assignment. Lovely little sentiments:

“Hop into the silence to make it joyful”

“Paint all the questions”

(actually she wrote “joy fool,” which I like better, but she changed it after informed of her mistake)

No idea where she got that.

This man is alone
wife sleeping in another bed
cold sheets await
chill fills the distance between our hearts
attachment fades
color bleeds from the painting
that is our life

Hop into the silence to make it joyful fool.

P.S. It looks like that god damn release if finally going out the door.
